Project Type: New Construction

Project Location: Danbury, CT

Project Size: 42,000 SQ FT

Project Cost: $11 Million

Project Description:

Integral to the City of Danbury’s Main Street District, the Connecticut Institute for Communities (CIFC) is planned to be a vital part of the downtown landscape. As one in a series of phases, the four story mixed use facility will house the CIFC offices, training and seminar space, a host of medical offices and a coffee shop on the main level. Along with meeting all the programmatic needs for a health center, the project is intended to define the corners of Boughton and Main Street and improve their overall character. Parking requirements are met on site, on the neighboring streets, and across Main Street at the St. Peter’s Church parking lot.

Studio Q along with their partner firm developed early concepts of the exterior design vocabulary explore a “collegiate” design aesthetic while working with the existing downtown Danbury design vernacular.
